GRAVE OF MEMORIES

It's now a day long gone,
When I saw it's just no worth to mourn,
When I took out and sharpened my chisel,
Stooped low to build, in sun or drizzle,
Stone on stone, day by day.

Cleansed by glistening tear drops;
Caressed by time's all-healing touch;
Might well be since eternity;
Now stands before me silently,
My personal grave of memories.
